Denizens Brewery Q&A

For the final project in my class "The Art of Interviewing" taught by Professor Tom Rosenstiel, I interviewed Julie Verratti: the co-founder of Denizens Brewing Co., a local brewery in Riverdale Park, Maryland. We discussed her risky start to opening her business, her experiences as a woman in a male-dominated industry, and, of course, her love of beer.

The Legacy of Michael Jordan

I was hired by a Merrill College adjunct to develop some interactive graphics based on how many newborns in the United States were given the name "Jordan" before, during and after the NBA star's career. The first interactive graphic on the page is my design.

How will A.I. transform journalism?

For a graduate student assignment in my class on the outbreak of artificial intelligence in newsrooms, I provided my insights after a semester of experimentation with large language model software programs like ChatGPT. Professor Derek Willis called my paper "the best summation of our work this semester and exactly what I was hoping to see from this assignment." I received a perfect score.
